IN A WRITER’S MIND

In a writer’s mind,
What goes on?
What is he thinking?
What are words?
Should he tell a story?
Who or what is his inspiration?
Is he pure genius?
Or his he simply literal,
What as concepts,
Does he grasp at a stunning idea?
Or does he just write,
Coffee, cigarette, maybe some rum,
What goes on his mind,
Maybe an orchestra,
He is fueled,
Shall he just let his mind run?
