So Walk It Out, Walk It Out

Today is day 2 of my new challenge of 2011, “Hour-Walk-A-Day-May” and I feeling great about it. So pretty much I am walking it out as I writing this post. I have some cool music on deck on my blackberry and I am going at a moderate speed until a see a hill then I am running or jogging up it. Oh of course I am watching out for traffic, I can’t go running up into people while I blogging on-the-go aka “illegal texting”, I might mess around and get a BWW (Blogging While Walking), ITWWB (illegal Texting While Walking Blind). Either way I am on a mission.

I had a great time going to the digitour in new york city at 23rd street Gramercy Theater to catch my some of favorite music youtubers. They really did their thing. Destorm and Dave Days killed the show, tearing the roof off as I would say and AutoTune The News (The Gregory Brothers) a new york band, had the crowd going absolutely crazy, even myself, especially when “Bedroom Intruder” came on.

Over all my weekend was so so, until around after 11pm, twitter went crazy over the death Osama Bin Laden. So while on train coming home from the digitour show, my twitter app was fitting to blow up. Later.

Do you have any youtubers you watch? How did you feel about the news of Osama?

Thanks for reading

The weekend of Saturday January 29th Monday January 31st, 2011 resulted in a 6lbs weight loss for me as I went in on some Calisthenics on saturday, Gym, stream room and sauna on sunday, and Yoga & Calisthenics on monday morning. I feel good to have reached those results going into February 2011 with my fitness and health goals.

Oh yea, minor note, it was my first time going to this new Bally Total Fitness in Yonkers, New York which had a Hot Tub, Jacuzzi, Pool (up to 6ft deep), A steam room, and a Sauna. Wow, how I was impressed, they shall be seeing me again and again.

My next move is to adjust my diet. I am moving into some extreme waters switching to a strict oatmeal, popcorn, sunflower seeds, wheat bread, peanuts, fruit, vegetables, salad, yogurt, water, chicken breast, fish, beef, portioned food intake each week. I also will be using Stacker 2 to shave my appetite and Multi vitamins to catch any missed daily required vitamins. This new diet will make sure I receive the right amounts of proteins, fibers, and other such natural food, with very minimum cost.

I will also will be killing things up a notch to do a 3 mile run every other day until I can do it everyday of the week or at least 5 days a weeks then unto a 5 mile run.

I am not a treadmill runner, my soccer ball is my best friend. Where is rolls or I kick it I chase it.

Thanks for reading my fitness goals and my routine, if you ever need some minor advice to get you started on making a healthy difference in your workout and fitness, just leave a comment of send me an email.

Thanks Again

Doing Yoga Burns Like a Perm

Yoga Class at a Gym

Today’s yoga workout at Bally Total Fitness was so awesome.  I usually go in the mornings on Mondays.  I love getting it in at the beginning of the week.  I get a good stretch and relaxed feeling starting the week of craziness that I go through.  Either way the instructor is always awesome, she is quite gentle until she tells you in get in some crazy ass pose, that is when the burn begins and then you start to change your mind about her gentleness.  Not to mention the worse part of it all, she wants you to smile too, everyone be looking at her with that “umm are you crazy, this burns, we using massive efforts trying to hold these poses.”  But overall it’s an awesome workout.  Instead of just once or twice a week of yoga I am trying to step it up to say 3 times a weeks and 1-2 days of Pilates also every week.  Maybe I just want the pain, but it’s quite relaxing and comforting.  It’s a release of the mind and body.

If you have never tried yoga, you should go out and give it a try.  It’s a wonderful thing to do from early all the way into your old age, and always satisfying.
