2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

19,000 people fit into the new Barclays Center to see Jay-Z perform. This blog was viewed about 100,000 times in 2012. If it were a concert at the Barclays Center, it would take about 5 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

It was an awesome year for my blog, in which I worked hard at…While I am now in 2013, I am ready to make a great deal of impact and a community and culture of blogging/writing.

Going BACK TO SCHOOL to be THE BEST IN THE WORLD

Bow Before Greatness

I am thinking of going back to school in September to do some independent studies.  I am not going back to college though or a physical school, nor an online university, but I shall be dedicating my time to tour to different seminars circuits, conferences, workshops, expos as well as online classes and webinars to  learn some great things in a couple of fields I am interested.

I have already have my bachelors degree, and shall in maybe about a year or two, snatch my masters degree, in which I want to make sure I get it in something I really will be dedicated to for the rest of my life.  I think of it just like that.  It’s a career, it’s your life.

I already do so and have the mindset already, but I just the degree (if I can afford it 🙂 ) should just be adding to my status and merits.

So september starts or restarts my quest of intensive knowledge and skills in things I am not a master of, and MASTER these skills with GREATNESS to someday take over the WORLD ( ummm not really, but help the world be a better place.).

I am going to break it down and blog about the things I have learned and how I have set up my schedule.

You don’t have to go to pass high school or graduate college or a trade school to be GREAT or acquire knowledge and training to be skillful.  You just need a direction, knowledge of resources, focus, hard work, and creativity, and apply it to overall goal.

I am the front-runner of being a self-starter, motivator and Do It Yourself mentality.

What do you want to learn in life?  Do you want to go back to school?  Are you learning and bettering yourself independently?

No SEX thank you, I want to READ this book

I have been known for turning down sex before.  Well to be honest  lot of times.  You might say, ummm, hey too much information, but I think not.  It’s quite suitable of story a story to tell.  Anyways if watch enough movies or know of the man and woman dynamics in bed late nights, the woman usually turns the husband down from sex (or aka love making) because she is tired (or just tired of him) or she is reading a book.  Well I have flipped the roles and it states, no sex or fooling around because I, the man, want to read this book.  Go figure right.  I think I lost a lot of points with the guys with that move.

Either way I have been reading a lot lately.  I am excited to jump into the notion or reading instead of watching stories via tv episodes or movies.  I love my netflix. 🙂  I have a kindle e-reader and I am always on amazon.com and I am jumping into my much delayed Book Club this year.  I failed at it last year, but since my head and nose is up in a book now, I figure it’s the best time to start.

Everyday I walk by tons of books in my house and room that I wanted to read and left a stray and it’s now time to pick them up and show them some love, (like a crying baby) and bust them out by the summer so I can jump into more books in the summer.

My goal is to read 4 books by the summer.  Notably, by July 2012.  Here are the books I have on deck to read and finish.

Chris Jericho Undisputed
(how to become the world champion in 1,372 easy steps)
by: Chris Jericho

Do You
(12 laws to access the power in you to achieve happiness and success)
by: Russel Simmons, with Chris Morrow

The Alchemist
by: Paulo Coelho

A Lion’s Tale: Around the world in Spandex
by: Chris Jericho, with Peter Thomas Fornatale

I hope I complete this book club beginner list.  Most likely I will read other books as well, but those are the ones I really want to read badly.  I will create a list and rate each book I have read also.

Are you currently reading a book?  What book are you reading?  Have you been procrastinating at reading also?  What’s one of your favorite books or what book would you recommend to me?

Thanks for reading

PS: Please share your input and tales of reading, I would love to listen and chit-chat.
