When writer’s block strikes it is torture to someone’s goal or motivation. Well here is my cure (guide) to writer’s block.

Here are 5 cures to get back out of your writer’s block stage whether it’s blogging, script writing, video ideas, short stories, poetry, or just personal journal.

1. Create 3 mini series of simplicity (short form) as warm up.

– photos (find a title or cool name to call your series within the field you are trying to write and google search images or photos that’s related to the theme of the series and post it with your thought on the picture or a brief info on the picture) Also you can take things in your own hands and grab your digital camera, camcorder, iPhone, blackberry or so, and create a series of random photos around the house, outside, people, or so and post it with nice keywords/tags of things people maybe searching for.

– text (find a title or cool name to call your series within the field you are trying to write and do something within a 2-4 sentences on the idea or a thought. Or write about someone who is great in that field) and end the each post with a question or an idea you discovered within your research and working on the mini series.

– video (find a title or cool name to call your series within the field you are trying to write and do something 30 sec –  1 min) and have the series go to a certain number you like, for example your favorite number or numbers like 6, 8, 12, or 16.

2. Create a creativity/idea drop box/fish bowl

3. Read others blogs, or videos and take notes on the things you like (reminder, don’t get mad at their content and how great it is to yours, everyone goes through a dry spell, even drop a comment, message or email to the person to see if they can give you some tips.)

4. Create a rant or vent on pieces of paper what you are missing or your problems. Sometimes helpful to read out and see on paper what your actual problem so you can take it in and think about it and create a solution.

5. Take a break, get some sleep. Go to you favorite places, eat some of your favorite food, listen to your favorite music, or look up things that you enjoy or like that inspire you. Talk to a good friend and hold a good conversation with someone interesting. I guarantee that will inspire you on some ideas and get you in a good mood.

Try these ideas and see how well they work for you.

Do you have any tips to add to this post? Leave it in the comments or send me an email.

Do you have any cures for writer’s block and do you think these were a good list of cures?

Writers Block: Creativity

crushed paper - writer's block - crumpled pape...

As of late my blog has been taking a nose dive in views. Even though its at the level I thought it would be the nose dive is leveling out at, but I have surpass the level I wanted to be but now I need to keep up to the standards I have now created and continue to excel.

I have been in a creativity drought blog wise, but not personally. I just haven’t put in the time to post the greatest I have in store. I am quite upset about it as I want to challenge myself to greatest and help bring an audience to my blog of creativity, sexiness, self-help, fun, and coolness.

So what is it to help me out of the drought I am in and stop with the nose dive of seen the same blog posts only getting the same views and nothing creative jumping and exploding off my blog? I guess I am at my writers block after 3 months of creative posting. Well tomorrow is the day I change the game (well that’s what I am telling myself).

How do you get over the writers block of creativity or motivation to post something new and exciting each week?

What is the cure of writer’s block?

A Room of One’s Own

A room of one's own

The real reward of independence and for self is when you can claim a room of one’s own.  We go through life, from infant to teen, then from young adults to being elder in the attempt to be on our own, in which is a symbol of growth.  What we acquire throughout our lives shows our self-worth, and one of the main things we try to aim for is a place to call our own.  We pick up many other things along the way such a convictions, religion, belief, money, love, pride, respect, and other material things, but when you are in charge and have the freedom to make decisions in any which case is a very powerful thing.

Many people go through this world, not being able to accomplish this one goal, because of the odd balls life may throw our way, but still we try to keeping pushing.  Some of us are not as strong will as others and may stumble a lot more than other, but if we can have it, we would all want A Room of One’s Own.

I myself is working on having a room of my own, a place of freedom to create and live a satisfying and fun life.  As much as achieving this may take a bit longer than I thought, I still strive for victory that one day after all my hard work I will be able to gain this proud and live changing achievement.

I came upon this title of this post based a book of the same title I had to read (was supposed to read) in my freshman year of college at Lehman College (Women In Literature Class) and I never once forgot the title because I knew of a great worth of knowledge and literature that would be within the walls of this book.  Now that I think about it, I still own the book after 7 years, and might be aiming to give it a thorough read very soon, and add that to my list of books I should I read long ago, but will read now.
