I was so excited when I went into the gym today (February 23, 2011) to see a brand new, well appear to be brand new Heavy Boxing Bag at Bally Total Fitness that I go to.  The boxing bag was a key part of my weight loss in 2008 and 2009, and its was missing in 2010 in which messed with my abilities to loss a good amount of weight and upgrade my fitness potentials.  Now that I see that the Boxing Bag is back, not sure for how long, I got to take advantage of it and “Bring The Pain” to my new workout routine which involves, a mixture of Mixed Martial ArtsCalisthenics, Yoga, and Pilates.  I also use couple other routines to mix up my workouts, such as active sports such as Basketball, Soccer, Tennis and exercise program as South Beach Diet Workouts and P90x.  It’s a very tough road I got to go for my fitness, but I am glad to add back boxing to my routine in 2011.  Let’s see what it does for me.

Just a little info…When usually hit the gym, I do 10 minute warm ups and stretches, then jump in on 20 mins on the Heavy Bag, then do Calisthenics and Shadow Boxing for 20 mins, then back to the Heavy Bag for 10 minutes, then hit the Cardio on the Manual Bike and Ellipticals then work on ABS and Core work, then into Stretching and Breathing (mixture of Yoga and Pilates) then back to Cardio, then into Mix Martial Arts & Calisthenics, then Weight Lifting or which ever Muscle group I am working on for that day…

I usually do this about 4-6 days a week.

The weekend of Saturday January 29th Monday January 31st, 2011 resulted in a 6lbs weight loss for me as I went in on some Calisthenics on saturday, Gym, stream room and sauna on sunday, and Yoga & Calisthenics on monday morning. I feel good to have reached those results going into February 2011 with my fitness and health goals.

Oh yea, minor note, it was my first time going to this new Bally Total Fitness in Yonkers, New York which had a Hot Tub, Jacuzzi, Pool (up to 6ft deep), A steam room, and a Sauna. Wow, how I was impressed, they shall be seeing me again and again.

My next move is to adjust my diet. I am moving into some extreme waters switching to a strict oatmeal, popcorn, sunflower seeds, wheat bread, peanuts, fruit, vegetables, salad, yogurt, water, chicken breast, fish, beef, portioned food intake each week. I also will be using Stacker 2 to shave my appetite and Multi vitamins to catch any missed daily required vitamins. This new diet will make sure I receive the right amounts of proteins, fibers, and other such natural food, with very minimum cost.

I will also will be killing things up a notch to do a 3 mile run every other day until I can do it everyday of the week or at least 5 days a weeks then unto a 5 mile run.

I am not a treadmill runner, my soccer ball is my best friend. Where is rolls or I kick it I chase it.

Thanks for reading my fitness goals and my routine, if you ever need some minor advice to get you started on making a healthy difference in your workout and fitness, just leave a comment of send me an email.

Thanks Again

My Crazy Calisthenics Cardio & Biceps Workout (1/26/11) – [new record]

US Marine recruits performing push-ups: in pro...
Image via Wikipedia

Today after a crazy absence from the gym for about a week and a half, I put in the work.  I pushed my body to its limits today and broke my former records of Calisthenics workouts.  I have couple workouts I use to warm up to before hitting the weights and I made a crazy effort to make a huge mark on today.  As I write this and I am super tired and aching from today’s workout, I am super satisfied.  I surely hope to beat today’s new record, by recording it greatness with a blog.  Mark it down in the record books, January 26, 2011 I went in.

Today’s New Workout Performance Record:

(25) Sets handstand into Push Ups, in which I after coming down into a push up from the handstand, I do 3 push ups to follow-up with it.

(21) Sets of Jumps, in which I do a super sprint into a leap using my verticals to go over 19 blocks (which equals about a little over half my height).

*note: These 2 exercises work on you vertical jumps, biceps, shoulders, and works well to build up your stamina.

I usually don’t do my vertical jumps over 19 blocks after a long period of time being missing from the gym, but today I was so hyped and wanted to surpass my comfort zone and push my body pass its limits regardless of the hurt I would get after the workout.  I should add some videos of the workouts I am describing so all can see, so I shall be working on a collective set of workouts I do in the gym.  Today’s workout burns so good, especially a well deserved laugh for the luckily danger fall I had landed safely when I hit the top of the 19th block and almost came crashing down on my face, while the whole Bally Total Fitness gym patrons was watching me from the corner of their eyes.  I put on quite a performance when I am in the gym.  I am ready to hit the gym hard, and lose this weight, tone up all the muscles and body parts I can and be quite fit.

Other workouts I did today:

30 lbs Lifts on Bench (laying down)  (10 reps)

30 lbs Curls (10 reps)

15 lbs Over the Back Biceps Lift (20 reps each arm)

VIDEOS COMING SOON
