It came down to the last draw based on the events of epic portion I am selling my camera.  I have been thinking of an upgrade for far too long and now believe in taking the steps to further my future passions and career.  So I am saying goodbye to my Canon Rebel and starting my epic jump to my Ultimate Goal of 2011 which is the Canon T3i.  I have thought of it quite hard and believe I might take it even further and go full on for the Canon 70D, no more kiddie games.

I have been a well skilled intermediate all-star for far too long and now taking control and making the epic investment being a Creative Professional in my photo and video equipment.  So as of today the goal is to shoot as much photo shoots or more with my Canon Rebel in July and create a creative photo challenge, and sell my camera or get rid of it in the beginning of August to scare myself into working super hard to replace in and purchase my new ultimate camera by September 2011.

I hope I am ready for this crazy monster challenge and move in my life to start to get moving.

Do you like photography?  Do you own a DLSR?  What brand of cameras do you like?

My Ultimate Goal of 2011: Canon T3i

Self Portrait III

I have made it official.  My ultimate goal of 2011 is to purchase the Canon T3i.  Though it may be not as powerful or great as the Canon 7D or the infamous Canon 5D Mark II, I am determined to get this mid-level camera.  I am a uber-fan of Canon, though i been telling myself to go the Nikon way as most people first pick mostly is a Canon, but I am still thinking about it.  Since I am leaving the realm of just full on photography and taking my well architect skills to a new height with videos and becoming a force to me reckoned with in multimedia and technology for New York.  The world should praise me as I work my hardest to get this camera.

Though it’s only $899.99 say at B&H Photo and Video or at Adorama, you still got to count in taxes, lenses, insurance (can’t go no where without that big boy), I am still looking at $1300 of the back basic.  With that, that’s really all I need for the skills don’t come with the camera, you bring your talents and skills to the camera and the works you produce.

So i am already on board with my first MAC purchase in March 2011, and my Pro Tools purchase of September 2010, I am just taking it step by step to be if not the number 1 Creative (all around) Multimedia Professional in New York, but one of the greatest in the long run.

Canon T3i (with the pull out screen) lol I am so coming for you.  The Canon T2i is also awesome, but I need a major upgrade from my Canon Rebel and taking my business to YouTube, Vimeo, iTunes, your Local Film Festival right into your living room subscription service such as Netflix or Amazon.

Richardo is on his way…now it’s time to work his butt off and gain more clients, produce more high quality projects and network the HELL OUT of the world.

I have 3 great projects debuting this summer, including a debut hip-hop album, a poetry and art book, and a DJ groove 3 track music record, oh yea not to mention hopefully short-film series based on my YouTube weekly seriesThe Real Life with Richardo

Do you have an ultimate goal of 2011?  is there any awesome gadget coming out this year you are looking forward to getting?

My new DSLR camera should be Canon, Nikon or Sony?

I have a major choice to make this year on purchasing a new camera, but I don’t know which one to get.  I am a loyal canon fan for years and about 3 year now, I have an Nikon Cool-pix that is so awesome and I know Sony for putting together great products, but I just don’t know.  I wonder what is everyone craving for right now.  I hear the Canon Mark II is an awesome and great camera to get but I am not sure I have $2000 to $5000 to afford that.  I need something that deliver result under a $1,000 price range, better yet under $800 so I can use the extra money other equipments and funding for my short film I plan to produce.  I am so leaning towards the Canon T3i that arrives in March 2011, but then again I saw a great deal on amazon for a Canon T2i kit for $930 with a crazy set of accessories.  I need a professional camera at the end of the day that can stand the weight for say another 2-3 years is possible, though new developments is on the way each and every year.  So shall consider Canon, Nikon or Sony?  I need help.

I guess I shall take a trip to the city within next week and see what is out there at my favorite spots, BHPhotoVideo on 34th St. 9th Ave. or my next spot Adorama on 18th St. 6 Ave.  I love both place, but happen to always end up buying my Camera’s from BHPhotoVideo, and my accessories from Adorama.  Either way I got to make the trip.  So Midtown New York City, you shall be seeing me the end of the beautiful and lovely short month of February.

What camera do you think I should get and/or what camera are you using?
