Snapshots of Jamaica [Vacation]

Jamaica Photography by RawMultimedia Beautiful Vacation

Jamaica as you may or may not know is a beautiful country and island.  I was fortunate to be born and raised there, and is very proud of my people and my heritage.  Great people such as Bob Marley, Marcus Garvey ( in which I grew up in a community named after him called Garveymeade), Oliver Samuels (comedian & actor), one of my greatness musical inspiration Beenie Man (whom won a Grammy for his musical talents), alongside many other great and wonderful people whom you may know or not know, were born within my small island I call home.

I didn’t get too festive with my stay as I went to visit family, and hone in on some rest and relaxation, I managed to capture a few photos while I enjoyed my stay.  I am going to share a few photos I found interesting to me.

54th National Puerto Rican Day Parade

New York City

Though I am not Puerto rican I still enjoy a good parade and people representing their country.  Shout out to all Puerto rican’s for the 54th National Puerto Rican Day Parade here in New York City on 5th Ave.  I was actually thinking of going to the city today to see a street fair nearby Adorama (a photography store) and go shopping also, but I took this week off from an adventures.  Either way I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Do you like parades?  Are you ready for the other parades hitting New York City later this ear?

25 Cooking Recipes

SAN DIEGO (Aug. 18, 2009) Staff and patients p...
Image via Wikipedia

25 is the number of healthy cooking recipes I would like to learn.  Not just any food, but different styles and they have to be healthy.  I am trying to build for a good life of healthy living.  I have to start somewhere.  I am not sure really what and what I really want to learn, but I figure it has to have some italian dishes, indian dishes, french dishes, Caribbean dishes, or anything that’s delicious not too complex and healthy.

I figure this weekend I could browse by Barnes and Noble and check out some books on cooking recipes and so on.  I  love me some Barnes and Noble.  I will peep some and maybe even copying some down and give it a world and see how great they turn out, with Richardo the chef on duty. 🙂

Do you have any good healthy recipes I can follow or may enjoy?  Do you like to cook?

Thanks for reading
