Life Stories: Chain Letters

Chain letters, do you remember those?  I hate them, I hate them all.  Do this, do that to this among of people in this amount of time, or else this will happen to you or your family…  How about get the fudge out of here.  I remember when I was growing up, I was plagued with hearing people sharing stupid chain letters about forwards this to 10 people or else I will get injured or something.  This is definitely one of the strongest works of spam, word of mouth and complete annoyance.  This is how you knew who were your true friends.

A true friend would never send you this stupid foolishness.  Did I mention how much I hate chain letters?  I would read them, and go wow, this is aka a threat to me life if this is to be true.  So you are telling me, you would pass on death to your friends, in no way would you send this to fill up the 10 friend requirement without sending to your closest friends.  Think about this, how many friends do you even have today?  Better yet, back then who were really your friends, or did we just call people we probably did things more than say 5 times together a friend?  This was completely a waste of my time, and oh my, did I enjoy watching people work their hardest to find the last 2 of friends for they only found 8, and they could not fail at sending death threats.   It got so deep, we even send these things to out family members, how cruel right?

This is absolutely one of the main reasons why do not follow trends and found out how people can be stupid.  Next to that, be scared into doing something they do not want to do, just to fill in an action someone told them they must do.  Welcome to why I took up psychology in high school and onwards into college.  🙂

Life Stories: Choices

There is one thing life has blessed us with, and that is choices.  We have the right to choose what we want to do.  Whether or not we love or hate the circumstances, we have a will to choose.  So if there is something you rather be doing with your life, speak up now or own it today.

For me the biggest choices I made were:

I put my knowledge and skills over working at a dead-end job.  As much as my job had tried to put me down and say the only way to be great in life (the nerve of them) was to be great only at their workplace.  Maybe they thought I was stupid or something, but in the end, I don’t work at that workplace anymore.  I moved on and was better off.

Another instance in which I had a choice was choosing to fund my own education and not owing anyone for it results.  There is no better feeling than refusing help from others who in the end would want to take credit for your growth the help contribute.  So you deny them that energy and make it on your own.  I love that I was brave enough to take my own destiny by the balls as you can say and push to go further on in my life, career and education.

LATE NIGHT DABBLES…Ok I Drooled A Little.

LATE NIGHT DABBLES

The joy of just writing what you feel like writing…

As I fight with the pillow trying the best way to get comfortable to start my binge watching of Netflix, I came upon my latest and greatest new guilty pleasure.  From the way I was laughing, crazy to my everyday norm of laughing…And yes I laugh everyday.  I laugh for the madness and sadness of life, then when something is funny I laugh a littler harder and frequent.  Anyways, I catching up on my RSS feed, and curiosity found me on a page on Mashable.com “Social Media Safety for Kids” in which I found out about two new, well fairly new sites kids frequently go to, since they technically rule the internet anyways.  I found much interest in Whisper and Secret.  It’s pretty much two niche social media sites in which you can anonymously share thoughts, rants and others deep thoughts to the world or who so ever and interact and comment.  Also the premises of these social media is that they don’t collect or store any of your information.  I usually believe all those sites are a lie when it comes to things like that to some degree, but hey, if you going to use them, then you going to use them.  When you done having your fun or exploring or get what you trying to get or fail at it, you will delete it.  Simple don’t you think?

Anyways, after this post and probably every other night or so I plan on getting a go laugh and sharing some of the funny posts I run into.  I might even take it a bit further and write about a whole post on the subject matter.  Well here ends my post, go check them out, they are really interesting places and apps you can also download on your Apple iPhone iOS device or Google Android device.
