No SEX thank you, I want to READ this book

I have been known for turning down sex before.  Well to be honest  lot of times.  You might say, ummm, hey too much information, but I think not.  It’s quite suitable of story a story to tell.  Anyways if watch enough movies or know of the man and woman dynamics in bed late nights, the woman usually turns the husband down from sex (or aka love making) because she is tired (or just tired of him) or she is reading a book.  Well I have flipped the roles and it states, no sex or fooling around because I, the man, want to read this book.  Go figure right.  I think I lost a lot of points with the guys with that move.

Either way I have been reading a lot lately.  I am excited to jump into the notion or reading instead of watching stories via tv episodes or movies.  I love my netflix. 🙂  I have a kindle e-reader and I am always on amazon.com and I am jumping into my much delayed Book Club this year.  I failed at it last year, but since my head and nose is up in a book now, I figure it’s the best time to start.

Everyday I walk by tons of books in my house and room that I wanted to read and left a stray and it’s now time to pick them up and show them some love, (like a crying baby) and bust them out by the summer so I can jump into more books in the summer.

My goal is to read 4 books by the summer.  Notably, by July 2012.  Here are the books I have on deck to read and finish.

Chris Jericho Undisputed
(how to become the world champion in 1,372 easy steps)
by: Chris Jericho

Do You
(12 laws to access the power in you to achieve happiness and success)
by: Russel Simmons, with Chris Morrow

The Alchemist
by: Paulo Coelho

A Lion’s Tale: Around the world in Spandex
by: Chris Jericho, with Peter Thomas Fornatale

I hope I complete this book club beginner list.  Most likely I will read other books as well, but those are the ones I really want to read badly.  I will create a list and rate each book I have read also.

Are you currently reading a book?  What book are you reading?  Have you been procrastinating at reading also?  What’s one of your favorite books or what book would you recommend to me?

Thanks for reading
Richardo Wilson

PS: Please share your input and tales of reading, I would love to listen and chit-chat.

Writing Sabbatical

So here I am fresh of my writing sabbatical, I am looking around and my blog looks empty.  No shocker there, but then I saw a reflection in my computer screen and it was me, and I was pissed.  How the heck haven’t I written anything on my blog in almost a good week and a half?  That madness.  Then I took a look on my bed and seen couple of dents based on all the freedom I had jumping in it and sleeping and etc. then I changed my expression into a smile.

Sometimes you just need a time off from writing.  I was working on too many fronts managing an epic amount of work load, music album, independently publishing a book, and trying to writing scripts for my youtube channel and working on a short film.  I felt like I was exceeding words, so I shutdown.  I had been blogging for over 4 years consistently and since last year, I had enrolled in blogging everyday.  Yup I said it, 365, ouch.

Shutting down is sometimes good, and it refuel you.  You get to let out fresh thoughts and new perspectives and other elements of life that happen during your absent.  I am more than ready to fill in the blank, but guess what I am back.  I am ready to entertain and kick some blogging butt.

Have you ever taken a writing sabbatical?  Have you ever had writers block?

Thanks for reading
Richardo

PS: I have also been reading.  I think I am addicted right now.  I think amazon is going to send me a nice bill with the books I am about to buy and have bought.  Also poor ol Barnes and Noble shall be seeing my face very often.
