I have noticed my body has been changing in certain aspects and I think it’s the food I have been eating.  I usually have a reward system in place each year in which I move to different food groups that are just tasty to me.  Though I try to stick to a certain diet, at the end of the week of a hard-working week, via I work very hard, I would reward myself with a treat.

Previous years it was a 6 pack of mojitos, jerk chicken, a golden crust chicken patty, cake, ice cream, a bottle of Barefoot Riesling wine (in which I still drink now and then) and couple other items.  This year or well over the last couple months, it was pizza, random burgers and a can of Coors beer.  All of those delicious, but not too healthy in the ways I want to transform my body.

I don’t normally consume a lot of each item, but it’s usually once a week say Saturday or Sunday, my chilled days I would go an enjoy those while kicking back watching netflix, dvds, HBO on demand, playing some video games.  So like every year I try to challenge myself against things I like to see if I can do without them and exclude them from my normal routine.

So I really want a lean, mean body this year like I had couple years ago, and my eating habits have been hindering those advancements, for I go to the gym and do solid workouts 5 days a week (i will show you videos and photos soon enough of my work outs to see my variations).  So I really want to kick some unhealthy calorie butt this month and other months to come, so bye-bye burgers and beer, I might revisit you guys later, but for now, let’s see if you guys are stopping my weight loss and nice 6 pack abs I been working on.

My New York City Lifestyle [MNYCL] – Rainy Days

My New York City Lifestyle - rawmultimediaRainy Days in NYC is always a weird experience, as mentioned before it is the city that doesn’t sleep, and also a city that don’t like when the weather blocks us from being super active and cause more friction to our hectic days working to make it (costly taxes from the state and expensive living).  Just recently we have been hit with a series of rain falls, and oh boy how I hate the rain.  I mean I like it on a Sunday afternoon, where I can lay up in the house watching netflix or play some video games and beat down some noobs, but oh no, not a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or especially a Friday.  The first 3 days of the week are usually the busiest and most productive and also everyone can’t wait to make past “Hump Day” in which is Wednesday if you haven’t heard the term before, in which I had to learn myself.

Let’s get back to the rainy days, I like to be outside and every nature and it’s surroundings, more oxygen to breathe in, cool air and places I can go without an umbrella and snap photos.  Being a photographer, I like to go with a bit of ease to my days, for I am quite the workaholic (not in the way you may think, more of a progression towards my dreams) in which I work everyday to create I world of happiness I can be around.  So crappy rainy days are things I sort of avoid.  It’s just too many layers to worry about to make it to the gym or go a friend’s house and lounge in their couch or just hop around and do ton of fun possible things in the city.

Are you an active person?  Where are you from, urban or rural?  Do you like rainy days?

Oh yea, a funny thing about rainy days is that, the drivers in New York City are reckless and don’t cater to the people at the bus stop such as myself, (lol for taking the bus) via they are all about getting to their next destination quick (no patience) in which if you are near and puddle, you better stare clear for you can and will get wet, and for the fashionable new yorkers, who don’t wear much clothes, umm you day will transform into a hell of a day.  I guess because of all the bad things that can go down in the city and again unfair high taxes we have to pay, I can see why new yorkers are mostly mad and looking angry, go figure right?

My New York City Lifestyle [MNYCL] – The City That Don’t Sleep

My New York City Lifestyle - rawmultimediaI am quite an adventurous person when it comes to living in New York.  I have declared myself a super awesome new yorker, because I live a New York City lifestyle, hence the title of this post.  I am always actively doing something or going somewhere, in the city that never sleeps, no matter what time of day it is (umm that means I really don’t sleep) I am out and about or kicking my feet up editing videos and posts watching Netflix.

I have decided to start this series of storytelling about my life in the city, mostly of what I found interesting and humorous.  I like silly weird things and have keen eye for details that people don’t normally see (I pay a great deal of attention, lol more like staring at stuff).  So during my weekly series in which I will release every Thursday, I will write a blog post and also showcase some photos that goes down in my city, of New York. I have themed my photo series for these posts [This Is My New York City] aka [TIMNYC] which is quite an interesting name it self.

I hope you are down for my storytelling and my photography for the tag team of [My New York City Lifestyle] + [This is My New York City] is ready for the world.  I hope you enjoy and drop by and have a laugh with me and let your presence by known and start-up a conversation with me, or just simply follow and drop a smiley face on my Twitter (@Rawmultimedia) or my Facebook page (Facebook.com/rawmultimedia).
