I Need A Writing / Blogging Playlist

The discouraged Nenene suffering from writer's...

Just as we may have a playlist for cleaning, jogging, working out or maybe even cooking, is there a playlist or relaxing songs for writing or blogging.  Some days the motivation to write a song, poem, or just something creative is there, but then sometimes we get distracted and lose focus is writing.  I don’t mean writer’s block in which it could have been but more of a comfort feeling to be yourself and enjoy the task.  Maybe some cool jazz, or classic musical music could do the trick.  I am going to try something from the norm as an experiment to see if there is something worth relaxing my mind to create or to be inspired by just listening.

Do you have a soundtrack or playlist you listen to while writing or blogging or do you try to stay in silence?

Writers Write, Bloggers Blog

Writers write, Bloggers blog…well I want to do both.  It’s quite refreshing publishing on my blog over the last couple months and it’s very rewarding to see my writing get noticed and a decent amount of views based on good writing concepts and ethics.  I have been working on couple book ideas for over 2-3 years and thinking as a writer I can see how difficult it can be to publish a book.  Not just the process of production, but the committment to writing and the back & forth with doubts.  I really want to do a good job on my first published work.  I guess I shall continue to use my blog as a practice and a simpler element and build into my book.

I am aiming to release my first book this year, even with the crazy amount of pressure and writing demands, I am in.  Also I am working on writing great articles and converting them into eBooks to get some recognition and feedback on my progress.  I so hope for the best.

Mastering The Short Form

I want to master the short form of creative writing and performing. I guess it’s the internet way of things, we like our dosage of entertaining quick, fast, and fun. Though some works does lose its core meaning and long-lasting impression, but that’s exactly what I am trying to achieve in my works. I want to be precise, direct, fun, and long lasting, having my audience wanting to come back for more while remembering those quality posts or performances in mind. Then again isn’t that what everyone wants?

I spend a lot of my time researching and broadening my insights and ideas with multiple resources to always keep my audience locked in. But first I must find out what it is about me that people enjoy and work and perfecting that as well as still growing to be more diverse to attract a larger audience. Is it my writing style, my writing voice, or maybe my creative nature that the people love? Or could it be my mind state, calm demeanor, down to earth perspectives, or well-rounded fine tuning work flow, that makes people want to tune in?

When writing long form, I tend to over think things, add to many related content or info and actually kills my objective of entertaining and easy to digest content. I do plan on doing long form down the line, but I feel quite comfortable doing things in short form. I guess I fit right in, because I am hip to time of the internet and just how I dish my posts and performances out quick and sweet, I like to get my posts from other places the same way.

Do you prefer long or short form of writing or performances?
