To Be “Freshly Pressed” by @WordPress @WordPressdotcom

I almost cried when I saw that I am “Freshly Pressed” on WordPress.  I was so excited.  I didn’t know what to expect from being on the front page and the #1 spot out of anything else.  To many it may seem as a big deal because they only want to have fame from being “Freshly Pressed“, but my reasons for being excited was I have been blogging for over 4 years on wordpress.com and being blogging ever since 2000 in total when people have never really knew what blogging was.

As of December 2010 I decided to set on the journey to be one of the BEST bloggers in the Blog-O-Sphere and never look back at my average posts as I use to do.  I wanted to be more personal, more creative, more interactive and more social with everyone.  So I decided to put my life in the everything I do.  This was the why I held my WordPress Blog and My YouTube Channel as my top priority and I said I am going to do it and never stop.

Thanks to WordPress and it’s motivational and inspirational goal to help bloggers by creating the challenge “PostADay2011” and “PostAWeek2011” I was definitely hype to get on board and grow as a blogger and challenge myself to produce great content.  So I started doing “PostADay2011” and set my goal to be featured one day on “Freshly Pressed” in 2011 as of January 2011.  I wrote everyday and posted everyday to make sure I on top of this challenge and NEVER FAIL.  I was a bit discouraged that others were being featured and I felt I was writing great content, but I said to myself that me writing blogs and content is NOT for FAME, it’s about doing me and enjoying what I do everyday no matter if anyone ever sees it.  I loved blogging and I ready to set my progress.  Also I was always helpful and spreading the good word and tools that WordPress offered.  The best advice I could give to everyone, was START TODAY and JUST DO IT and NEVER STOP or LOOK BACK (only to reflect from where you are coming from).  So after 6 months going on 7 months I reached to where I am now, Freshly Pressed and one of my GOALS to MYSELF in 2011 accomplished by being featured on the main page.

There is only one thing that can express my feelings to being “Freshly Pressed” and that’s just a BIG O SMILE.

I want to thank WordPress first and foremost and EVERYONE who visited my blog and left a comment with kind words and even to others who have subscribed and have asked a great deal of questions.  I am very thankful for the support and the love.

I wish everyone luck on blogging and hope you follow the post and the extremely great tip of just remembering your audience and making sure you comment on others blogs and make sure you reply to whom have commented on your blog.

Remember my BEST ADVICE TO YOU:

“START TODAY and JUST DO IT and NEVER STOP or LOOK BACK

Thanks for reading and for all the love,

    1. thanks it is…but I my character as a person is quite laid back…I am crazy though. lol. I never let fame get to my head. I feel everyone gets their 15 minutes of shine, but its what you do after that makes you better or leaves you the same. Do you have a blogging goal? How are you doing today?

      1. I should have a blogging goal, but I currently haven’t got one. What would you suggest?

Personally speaking, I keep finding myself going through periods of lower confidence (deflated ego?) when I just wonder who really cares about the twaddle I say?

But then, there’s still that ITCH. That compulsion. It doesn’t go away.

Sometimes you just gotta scratch the ITCH.

      2. I think you should design a series of 3 goals. 2 of them to help you blog better based on tagging. For example always tag 5-7 relative tags based on your posts, second always blog about 3 times a week and comment on other 3-5 times a week. Set a goal for you views for the year or 3 months or 6month for example. I must post a personal blog, music, and cool post every week for 6 months and use relative and popular tags based on what you writing and see the difference in how your blog is found and people communicate with your blog.

Build I thick skin and just write. Write for you and write proudly as if Jayz or Dr Dre would read it one day, and say dang I like his style. But write being you.

  2. Being “Freshly Pressed” is awesome. Setting a goal and seeing it played out is an amazing feeling and I’m glad it happened for you. I’ve been Freshly Pressed twice – and funnily enough this happened without me even trying.

You’re right though – doing it takes a lot of discipline and hard-work. I’m glad I found your blog. Keep up the good work!

  3. I must admit, the Freshly Pressed section is what lead me to your blog, however your content is what made me subscribe.

I’m very interested to see more from this blog because it has the kind of tone and ambition I’m interested in.

Also, I wanted to let you know that you hold the esteemed position as the first Google +1 I ever handed out. Bask in the glory!
