The Hunger Games [Movie Review]

I just rented “The Hunger Games” over the weekend to watch via DVD since I didnt see it in the theater.

I like to review movies easy and quick.

The Hunger Games was a pretty good movie, but ehhh.  It’s a pretty cliché storyline, but unique in composition and style.  I don’t think its the best movie of 2012, but in its feature category its a contender.  I give it a 8/10.  I also find no need to watch it again until it gets to tv or so.  Its was a well paced drama movie which wont leave you bored, but not any surprises either.

I just watched The Hunger Games last night after getting it in the mail with my Blockbuster @Home package, and although I thought it was pretty great, I also agree it’s not the best movie of 2012. It was entertaining enough, but honestly not enough to where I’d go purchase it. I’m glad I just rented it, and didn’t waste my money at the over-crowded theaters. Have you read any comparisons to the book? My coworker at Dish said the book goes much more in depth with the characters, so I’m thinking I would enjoy it more than the film. I guess we shall see. 🙂
